Sion took a severe drubbing at the hands Grasshoppers in the Swiss League on Sunday, after Egyptian goalie Essam Al-Hadari conceded four goals. The 36-year-old custodian, who impressed in last week's 2-2 draw with Basel, failed to prevent Grasshoppers from converting late three chances, and his team slumped to a 4-1 loss. Sion had a good start to the game and notched an early opener on four minutes, but their performance notably plummeted after the interval. Grasshoppers, who restored parity in the first half, took a stranglehold on the game in the last 10 minutes. A three-goal salvo on 82, 84 and 88 gave the visitors absolute superiority over Sion, who obviously ran out of gas in the second period. Sion are now in ninth place in the league table, with only four games to go.
