Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) has renewed its strategic partnership with the NilePreneurs Initiative, affiliated with Nile University, to launch the third edition of the ClimaTech Accelerator 2025—a specialized programme designed to support startups and SMEs in the environmental and climate technology sectors. This year's edition focuses on advancing the circular plastic economy in Egypt, encouraging innovative solutions that contribute to recycling, waste reduction, and sustainable resource use. The ClimaTech Accelerator aims to attract and empower top entrepreneurial talents in climate technology by helping scale their impact through cutting-edge solutions, while raising awareness of the urgent challenges posed by climate change. Spanning six months, the programme offers a comprehensive growth platform for 10 scale-up companies, providing interactive content and specialized mentorship designed to enhance business efficiency, governance and marketing strategies. Developed based on an in-depth study of Egyptian market needs and global sustainability trends, the 2025 edition prioritises strengthening the circular economy in key fields including bioplastics, recycling, sustainable packaging, construction technologies using recycled plastics, and digital sustainability solutions. Ihab ElSewerky, Managing Director and CEO of ADCB Egypt, said: "ADCB's continued support for the ClimaTech Accelerator across three editions reflects our steadfast sustainability vision and environmental responsibility. It reaffirms our commitment to empowering startups and SMEs working in climate technologies. Supporting the green economy and entrepreneurship remains one of our top priorities, as part of our contribution to achieving Egypt's Vision 2030 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. "Through our partnership with the NilePreneurs Initiative and Nile University, we are building an integrated ecosystem that fosters innovation and promotes resource efficiency. This edition's focus on developing recycling solutions to mitigate the environmental impact of industrial and construction activities represents a pivotal step toward building a more resilient and sustainable economy.".
