Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny sustained a shoulder injury in Egypt training following a collision with a teammate. The 21-year-old hurt his shoulder and had to undergo a scan to see the extent of his injury ahead of next week's World Cup qualifier against Guinea. Elneny suffered a shoulder injury with Basel back in July, which saw him sidelined for a few days. The central midfielder featured in every competitive game under Bob Bradley so far, but was rested in the last victory over Mozambique.
