AMMAN, March 15, 2018 - Jordanian Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Saleh Al-Kharabsheh on Thursday received his Egyptian counterpart Tarek el-Molla to discuss the possibility of diversifying energy resources and exploiting the Egyptian expertise in the natural gas sector. After the meeting, the two ministers inaugurated the fourth phase of Samra power plant, one of the projects of Jordanian-Egyptian company of FAJR. The plant was implemented by Egyptian petroleum company Petrojet. The project includes the establishment of a 12-inch pipeline and a 65,000-cubic-metre/hour metering station. The two ministers the first metering station in a natural-gas-powered factory in Jordan, implemented by the Jordanian-Egyptian FAJR for Natural Gas Transmission and Supply Company. The two ministers listened to a presentation by the Jordanian-Egyptian FAJR Company showing its accomplishments of a solar power station over an area of 20,000 square metres. The two ministries lauded the high performance of the Egyptian companies and the employees in the Jordanian-Egyptian FAJR Company. The officials urged the companies representatives to exert more efforts to exert more efforts to exchange expertise in the field.
