Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Molla met with director of the Hydrocarbons Service at Cypriot Ministry of Energy Stelios Nicolaides. The two sides discussed chances of enlarging the benefit of gas and petroleum resources as well as the current status of the latest gas discoveries in the two countries in a way that would best serve the interests of Cairo and Nicosia. The meeting also took up the implementation of agreements signed between the two countries and included one on joint cooperation in search operations and discoveries of gas and petroleum. The agenda of the meeting also included discussing the exchange of relevant technical expertise between Egypt and Cyprus. The meeting was attended by the Cypriot ambassador in Cairo and Chairman of the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company Mohamed el Masry.
