Egypt has strongly condemned Israel's military raid on the city of Ramallah, which left Palestinian civilians injured in what it described as a serious escalation of ongoing violations in the West Bank. In a statement on Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry said Israel's aggressive and extremist policies are the main driver of instability in the region, pointing to its provocative actions and obstruction of all prospects for peace. Egypt warned again of the dangerous consequences of what it called Israel's arrogance, which dominates its policies and pushes towards expanding the conflict. Cairo renewed its call on all members of the international community to take the necessary measures to compel Israel to respect international law and international humanitarian law, and to stop its blatant violations in the occupied Palestinian territories.
