Egypt's Sisi lauds UK shift towards recognising Palestinian state

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has praised British Prime Minister Keir Starmer's recent remarks on the United Kingdom's intention to recognise the State of Palestine.
In a post on his official Facebook page, President Sisi said Britain's announcement would be the right step towards restoring the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. He also expressed hope that the UK would take this historic decision as soon as possible, without any conditions.
President Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's long-standing position that a just and comprehensive settlement of the Palestinian issue is the only path to achieving sustainable peace in the Middle East.
