Egypt's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar met with Minister of Investment Hassan El Khatib to explore mechanisms for easing non-tax financial burdens and fees. The meeting also tackled the development of a unified licensing platform for medical services, according to a Cabinet statement. The ministers reaffirmed the Egyptian state's commitment to alleviating financial pressure on citizens and ensuring the sustainability of healthcare systems. This includes expanding the Universal Health Insurance System and maximising the use of successful models to guarantee consistent access to comprehensive healthcare services for all citizens. During the meeting, both ministers emphasised the importance of attracting local and international investment in the healthcare sector. They noted that health-related investments are a key component of Egypt's broader vision for building a more sustainable and resilient health system, with a focus on developing high-quality medical projects across the country.
