"We thank the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and all the countries that have supported us during our presidency of the 12th edition of the Islamic summit, and now the word is given to the Turkish presidency", Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry said in his speech to the 13th OIC summit in Istanbul in a manner that fits the gang leader, Erdogan. Not only did the man who is known as the lion of the Egyptian diplomacy say so, but he also left the podium without shaking hands with the gang leader, in a clear message that he does not want peace with Turkey, representing the pulse of every Egyptian who never forgets abuses against his country. Shoukry is honored not only for this stance but for a lot of positions he has taken since he took office in June 17, 2014. He is self-confident, aware of the importance of his country, its size and influence that can never be denied. He also receives confidence, apparent in his interviews and international conferences, from his people who revolted against failed governors. Having finished his political studies, Shoukry received a bachelor of law from Ain Shams University that gives him the logic of argument when he speaks. His high culture that explains his points of view makes it hard for anyone to embarrass him with an opinion that he cannot refute. He was heavily criticized for overthrowing the microphone of Al-Jazeera satellite channel at a press conference in Ethiopia and for ignoring Erdogan as well, receiving accusations of breaking the protocol. He has always ignored such accusations, because he knows very well the national dignity tops all other considerations. Shoukry, who is fully convinced of the justice of the Egyptian case and defends it in various countries, also has a young sparkling spirit. Although he was born in 1952, he behaves as if he was in his twenties, realizing his country is in a race against time, lacking the welfare of laziness or submissiveness. I send my greetings to Sameh Shoukry, and I support him in everything he does. There is nothing more precious to the Egyptians than their dignity that we urge him to keep defending.
