Iraqi army kills 6 IS militants in Saladin

The Iraqi army killed Friday 6 Islamic State (IS) militants in Saladin province, Al Bawaba News reported.
The army thwarted an IS attempt to attack Baiji city, 130 miles north of the capital Baghdad, killing 5 militants, security and local sources in Saladin said.
In the same context, the sources added the coordinator of the IS-linked Muslim Scholars Organization was killed by the army in Tikrit city, 87 miles northwest of Baghdad.
