International coalition's fighter jets killed 72 Islamic State (IS) militants in Iraq, Youm7 newspaper reported Saturday. The fighter jets hit 26 targets in the city of Baiji and killed 58 IS militants, in addition to 14 others during four air raids late Friday, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense. The ministry added that the fighter jets backed the armed forces while combating IS militants at the city of Tikrit, in Saladin province, north of Iraq, where they also targeted hardware stores and gathering places of the militants. During the military operation, dozens of IS militants with foreign nationalities were killed and their hideouts were destroyed.
