Iraqi Defense ministry sources told Sky News Tuesday that 70 Islamic State (IS) militants have been killed in different areas of Iraq's Anbar and Nineveh provinces. The sources, who asked to remain anonymous, said that Iraqi security forces have killed 23 IS militants in the center of Ramadi city, Anbar province. The Iraqi defense ministry announced in a statement the near liberation of the Baghdadi district from IS, west of Ramadi. Iraqi forces succeeded in gaining control over all government buildings in the city, raising the Iraqi flag, according to the statement. It also said that 18 IS militants were killed while securing the district. In Nineveh province, spokesman for the Iraqi defense ministry told Sky News that the Coalition's air raids managed to destroy an IS convoy coming from Syria and heading to Iraq, leaving 30 IS militants dead.
