Baghdad military operations command center announced Saturday that the Iraqi forces have killed 271 Islamic State (IS) militants in Fallujah city, during the last 18 days, Al Sharq TV channel reported. Iraqi army killed 271 IS militants and wounded 14 others in Al Karmah district, east of Fallujah city. The army also destroyed 31 vehicles carrying weapons and militants, defused 836 explosive device and 13 explosive belts. The international coalition's fighter jets hit 26 targets in the city of Baiji and killed 58 IS militants, in addition to 14 others during four air raids late Friday. The fighter jets backed the armed forces while combating IS militants at the city of Tikrit, in Saladin province, north of Iraq, where they also targeted hardware stores and gathering places of the militants, according to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense.
