New Interior Minister begins duties, meets with former minister

CAIRO: Newly appointed Interior Minister Mohamed Ibrahim arrived at the ministry building in downtown Cairo today to begin his duties.
Ibrahim held a closed meeting with the former Minister Mansour el-Issawy to discuss some security files before Issawy leaves the ministry.
Maj. Gen. Mohamed Ibrahim is 62 years old. He began his career after he graduated in 1973 and earlier served as deputy minister of interior for economic affairs.
