LG Electronics Egypt expands local manufacturing, deepens integration of local components
Published in Daily News Egypt on 27 - 10 - 2025

LG Electronics Egypt is increasing the proportion of locally sourced components in its products as part of a broader strategy to strengthen domestic manufacturing and support the Egyptian industrial sector, according to Kichul Lee, HE PM Team Leader at LG Electronics Egypt.
Lee noted that LG currently produces around 2.5 million television units annually in Egypt, reflecting the company's robust manufacturing capabilities and long-term commitment to local production.
In a related initiative, LG Electronics and TAM Gallery co-hosted an exclusive event titled "The Next Gallery by LG AI" at District 5, transforming the gallery into a dynamic space where cutting-edge display technology meets digital and AI-driven art.
Held under the slogan "Innovation Meets Art," the collaboration underscores LG's dedication to supporting Egypt's creative and cultural scene by enabling new forms of artistic expression. The showcase celebrated the fusion of advanced visual technology with contemporary art, featuring LG's next-generation OLED and QNED TVs — including a new 100-inch model — as the centrepiece of the exhibition.
These ultra-high-definition screens, described as the "ultimate modern canvas," deliver perfect black tones, infinite contrast, and professional-grade colour accuracy, providing artists with a platform capable of authentically rendering complex digital and AI-generated works.
"Our collaboration with TAM Gallery is more than a product showcase; it's a commitment to Egypt's creative community," said Kim, a representative of LG Electronics. "The LG display is the canvas of the future. By combining our core values of technology and innovation with the passion of the art world, we're giving artists the tools they need to bring their most ambitious, AI-driven visions to life."
By positioning the digital display as the definitive "Digital Canvas," LG and TAM Gallery are setting a new benchmark for how art is created, exhibited, and experienced — reaffirming LG's leadership at the intersection of innovation, culture, and technology.
