The Maspiro Youth Union showed a 20-minute documentary Thursday, presenting scenes of protesters being ran over in order to respond to a military council press conference and Egyptian Television broadcasts. The documentary included videos of protestor's march from Shubra that preceded the clashes. Hany Ramsis, member of the union's political bureau said that the videos showed that the march was peaceful, as “no shop along the route even closed its door.” Ramsis added the video shows the march being attacked at Shubra tunnel with broken glass, stones and Molotov cocktails. Dr. Antwan Adel, another member of the political bureau said Awad Shafeek, a lawyer in Geneva, filed a case in the International North African court against the Egyptian Minister of Justice and the government. The case seeks for the military judiciary to not be assigned the case. The union called for an official apology and all an investigation and eventual trial of all those involved who incited and participated in the Arson attack on the Marinab church in Aswan governorate. The union also called to release those arrested at the Maspiro clashes.
