Ahli winger Walid Soliman is set to have surgery on a damaged knee cartilage this week, the Cairo club said. Soliman has been struggling with a knee problem for several months as he revealed he would play in the Club World Cup through pain. The 28-year-old was forced to withdraw from Egypt's squad for the friendly game against Qatar on December 28. He should be fit for the Pharaohs next friendly tour though, which takes place in February with a couple of friendlies against Ghana and Ivory Coast.
