Ahli winger Walid Soliman revealed he must have knee surgery but will not go under the knife before the Club World Cup in December. Soliman, who bagged the second goal in the 2-1 victory at Esperance to help Ahli clinch the Champions League title, had to shrug off a knee injury he sustained during the first leg in Alexandria. Although he revealed that he may well undergo surgery to treat his injured knee ligament, the Egypt international declared there is some room to postpone the operation. “I will have to undergo a surgery but after the Club World Cup in Japan," Soliman told FilGoal.com. “So I will be forced take part in the competition through injury and then have the operation later." Ahli qualified for the Club World Cup in Japan after securing their seventh Champions League trophy by beating Esperance 3-2 on aggregate. They will kick off the tournament on December 9, where they meet the winner of the match between Oceania champions and the winners of the Japanese league.
