Egypt goalkeeping coach Zaki Abdul-Fattah says the embarrassment of riches he has in goal is a positive aspect reflecting the steady progress of keepers with their clubs. Speaking about goalkeepers tipped for the Egypt number one role, Abdul-Fattah pointed out to a number of candidates excluding the unsettled Essam Al-Hadari. “It is a problem I wished for. It's the sweetest problem not to know who will play!” the former US goalkeeping coach told Modern Kora TV. “Now we have Abdul-Wahed Al-Sayed who caught the eye and I hope he continues like that. Ahli's Sherif Ekrami is gaining confidence and it is always important to have a goalkeeper who plays in the Champions League. “We have Ahmed Al-Shennawi who I believe could be the best goalkeeper in Egypt in the near future. “There is Ali Lotfi of ENNPI, Mohamed Sobhi (Ismaili), Mohamed Abdul-Monsef (Gouna) and Emad Al-Sayed (Gaish). “As for Al-Hadari, he needs to get some football with Ittihad in the next few games in order to regain the rhythm of playing matches before our gathering next month.” Egypt will play a couple of friendly games in February ahead of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Central African Republic.
