New Masri boss Hossam Hassan was off to a winning start with a dramatic win over ENPPI, while Ghanaian ace Samuel Affum maintained the habit of scoring stunning goals for Smouha.
In Port-Said, an 89th minute header from Abdoulaye Cisse snapped Hossam Al-Badri's four-match winning streak as ENPPI manager.
Elsewhere, strugglers Smouha grabbed a famous 3-1 victory over MCDR to jump four spots in the league table with their third win this season.
Ghanaian striker Affum, who scored a superb goal against Ahli last week, opened the scoring with an absolute stunner at Alexandria Stadium.
Sameh Adrous equalized for MCDR but Hani Al-Egeizi scored two goals including another terrific strike.
