Egypt's Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Hassan El Khatib, took part in the country's National Day celebration at Expo Osaka 2025, highlighting Egypt's strategic vision, heritage, and growing partnership with Japan. Addressing the ceromancy, El Khatib expressed appreciation to the Japanese government for hosting what he described as a landmark global event. The minister stressed that Egypt continues to play an active role in shaping the global community through major national projects, including the construction of smart cities, investment in renewable energy, digital transformation of industries, and efforts to position itself as a regional hub for trade and innovation. Describing Japan as a strategic partner, El Khatib said the two countries share core values of discipline, innovation, and resilience. He highlighted Egypt's competitive advantages, including its strategic location, skilled workforce, and extensive trade networks, which together create significant opportunities for joint projects, industrial collaboration, and technological exchange. The minister invited Expo visitors to explore the Egyptian pavilion, which he described as a space where the creativity of the past meets the ambition of the present.
