Ahli will play an away friendly against Atletico Madrid in August, the Cairo club said on their website. The Reds said that talks are still in progress though, but revealed that a deal is set to be struck and that details of the agreement shall be announced within days. Ahli played a friendly against Bayern Munich last week, losing marginally to the German giants in Doha, Qatar. The club said that more games against high-profile European clubs will be taking place this year. Nine-time Spanish champions Atletico featured in Zamalek's centenary celebrations last year, beating the Cairo giants 4-1 in a friendly in November.
