Egypt's league: Wins for Masry, Enppi

CAIRO - Al-Masry of Port Said beat defeat Al-Ittihad of Alexandria 2-0 in the 13th week of the Egyptian Premier League, thanks to goals from strikers Abdullah Seisa and Elliaso in the 11th and 59th minutes.
Masry are now in seventh place in the League with 19 points, while Ittihad remain in tenth place on 15 points.
Ittihad's Spanish coach expressed his angry and sadness after the game, stressing that it was a tough match against a good team.
"Masry were well organised and their early first goal put us off our stride," he explained, as he praised the Masry coaching staff under Talaat Youssef.
Referee sees red card
The Spanish coach added that the referee made things more difficult, as he sent off two Masry players and one Ittihad player.
"This win has given us a boost," said Youssef, stressing that the match was really difficult. "I want to thank all players for their perseverance.”

Another win for Enppi
Enppi have now won three games in a row under the new coaching staff led by Hossam el-Badri, defeating Police Union 1-0, thanks to a goal from Côte d'Ivoire's Defonia in the 85th minute.
The win pushes Enppi up to ninth place in the Premier League with 15 points, while Police Union remain third on 24 points.
Enppi midfielder Adel Moustafa expressed his delight at the victory, stressing the importance of snatching three points from a big team like Police Union.

Smouha beat Ismaili
Smouha beat Ismaili 2-1, thanks to two goals from Ghanaian striker Samuel Afoum, while Ahmed Ali scored for Ismaili. The win puts Smouha in 16th place with ten points, while Ismail remain in sixth on 20 points.
Shawqi Gharib, Smouha's coach, said he was very happy that his lads came out on top at the end of this tricky clash.
"The match wasn't easy, but we're improving with every game," he pointed out.
The ex-Egypt general coach added that persistence and determination of his players were what tipped the balance against the Daraweesh, a very respectable outfit.
"The team really deserved the three points, as they put on a good show against a good team," Gharib stressed.

El-Geish held 1-1
El-Geish were held to a 1-1 draw by Misr Elmaqasah (MCSD), with striker Mohamed Zaki getting on the score sheet for Geish and midfielder Omar Nagdi finding the back of the net for MCSD.
Geish are 15th place with 13 points, while MCSD are fifth on 20 points.

Contractors stun El-Dakhlia
Arab Contractor stunned El-Dakhlia 4-1 thanks to goals from Hamada el-Sayyed, Alaa Kamal and Mohamed Salah (a brace), while Ahmed Temsah scored for El-Dakhlia.
Arab Contractors move up to 13th place, while El-Dakhlia remain in 19th place on five points.

Atletico Madrid to play Al-Ahly
Egypt's Al-Ahly have received an invitation from Atletico Madrid to play a friendly with the Spanish team in Madrid late in August, sources at the Red Devils said yesterday.
"We have received an invitation from a company that organises soccer fixtures to play a friendly game against Atletico Madrid on August 18," Ali Essam Abdel-Moneim, the Red Devils' Marketing Manager, said Wednesady.
"The matter will be referred to the board administration which will make a final decision on Thursday," he explained.
Cairo giants Ahly met Bayern Munich in a friendly in Doha last week, narrowly losing 2-1 to the German titans in stoppage time.
The Red Devils put on well against the Bundesliga heavyweights.
