CAIRO - The sixth week of the 2011-2012 Egyptian Premier League will kick off Monday with five clashes, followed by another four on Tuesday.Enppi, Gouna, Ittihad of Alexandria, el-Dakhlia and el-Masry are all ready for their crucial clashes against Al-Ahly, El-Mahalla, Wady Degla, Misr Elmaqasah (MCSD) and Arab Contractors respectively. Al-Ahly have finished their training for their match against Enppi at the Arab Contractors Stadium. Al-Ahly coach Manuel José da Silva held a 20-minutes meeting with the players before the morning training session, in which he went over the mistakes they made in their previous game against el-Dakhlia. Al-Ahly grabbed a 3-1 victory over newly promoted Dakhlia in the fifth week of the Premier League on Wednesday night, thanks to goals by Wael Gomaa, Emad Mete'b and Hossam Ghali, while Dakhlia player Armand grabbed a late goal for the newcomers. According to sources at the Red Devils, José has warned the players not to repeat what happened against Dakhlia, especially in the second-half, when the team seemed confused and started making mistakes that allowed el-Dakhlia to score. According to the reports, the Portuguese coach urged his players to concentrate on the game and do their best to win. An Al-Ahly victory would allow the team to stay at the top, as well getting revenge on a petroleum team that defeated them in the round of 16 of Egyptian Cup. The 1-0 loss against Enppi was Al-Ahly's last local defeat. He also warned the team's captain Hossam Ghali to avoid the tough-man stuff with their opponents so he doesn't get another yellow card. Ghali was handed his third yellow card in the Dakhlia game, which means he could be suspended for the side's next game. Walid Suleiman, Emad Mete'b, Mohamed Naggi 'Geddo' and veteran player Mohamed Barakat are all injured. Geddo was injured in Friday's match; according to medical reports. Mete'b and Soliman might be OK for the game. As for Barakat, returning after a long absence due to injury, he may be included in the team's 18-player line-up for the game. The 35-year-old broke his arm in an off-field accident back in July and has been out of action ever since. The team doctor Ehab Ali explained that Mete'b has hurt his foot. "We'll give him a medical test and we hope that he can play the game," Ali said. As for 'Geddo', he suffered a knee injury on Friday; he too will undergo a medical test to decide whether he's fit to play or not. Meanwhile, midfielder Mohamed Shawqi might also be ready for the game, according to Ali. The Red Devils will be missing the services of international defender Mohamed Naguib for up to five weeks, having been injured at Ittihad of Alexandria in the fourth week of the League. Ahly striker el-Sayyed Hamdi said that he's not worried about his goal drought, stressing the main thing is to snatch three points, no matter who grabs the goals. "Although we've got a lot of injuries, we can still beat Enppi," Hamdi added. Ahly's football director Sayyed Abdel-Hafez has praised the players' performance against el-Dakhlia, promising that they'll only get better. "The team are developing form game to game," explained Abdel-Hafez, pointing out that it is only José who decides whether to go with a 4-4-2 or 3-5-2 formation, depending on whom they're up against. Some media reports claim that José will resort to the 3-5-2 formation at Enppi. "Enppi are a respectable team with many talented young stars that have a lot of confidence in themselves and we respect them,” stressed the talented director. Mokhtar Mokhtar, Enppi's coach, regretted his side's 2-1 defeat against Ismaili in the fifth week, blaming the referee. "The referee made many wrong decisions," said Mokhtar, whose team are in 15th place in the Premier League with four points from five matches. "The fixture against Ahly is crucial and we must win it," said the 57-year old tactician ahead of the match. "I think this clash will see us bounce back. I trust the players' abilities," explained the talented coach, denying reports that they're going to play defensively. "We will attack Al-Ahly as we want to win. We're suffering many injuries which makes the game difficult for us," added Mokhtar, who has asked Ayman Ibrahim, the team's doctor, to make sure defender Amr el-Halawani is fighting fit for the Ahly game. El-Halawani's injury puts added pressure on the petroleum coaching staff. The injured players include Abdel Zaher el-Saqqa, Amr Fahim, Rami Sabri and Mozambican Manu. "Defender Sabri will undergo a medical test and then we'll decide whether to play him or not," Dr Ibrahim said.
