Amr Zaki says he has officially backtracked on leaving Zamalek after receiving a large sum of his late dues at the club. The Egypt striker said last week that he is done with Zamalek after the Cairo club had failed to provide his late wages before the deadline of January 4. However, the prolonged saga seems to be over as Zaki has finally received EGP 1.37million from a total of EGP 3million of his late dues from last season. “I have received part of my wages from last season and I will officially withdraw my complaint against Zamalek,” the 28-year-old told FilGoal.com. “I am now under the club's command and if the fans, the board or the manager doesn't want me to stay, I'll do what they are asking.” Zaki's U-turn comes after he had vowed to leave Zamalek on a free transfer, indicating that he will be heading to Turkey in the near future. Hassan Shehata's team have not been performing up to par in the final third with the recent absence of the former Wigan hitman.
