Amr Zaki has broken his silence over the prolonged dispute with Zamalek, indicating that he could sign for a Turkish club soon as his contract with the Whites is terminated. The 28-year-old striker has been at loggerheads with his club over unpaid wages from last season as he filed a complaint with the FA threatening to rescind his contract late in 2011. He had a clear-the-air meeting with manager Hassan Shehata last week and was supposed to return to training after 'apologizing' to his boss, only for the problem to intensify by the weekend. The Egypt international refuted claims by Zamalek assistant coach Ismail Youssef that his 'money is ready', insisting that the amount provided is a fraction of what had been agreed with the board. Its over “It is over for me. According to regulations I do not belong to Zamalek. I have the right to sign for any club right now,” Zaki told Modern Sport TV late on Thursday. “My contract is officially terminated because I have a copy of the warning sent by the FA ordering Zamalek to pay my dues before the deadline. “The checks they are talking about are not according to our agreement, they want to give me 60% of the 25% of my late dues! “So my agent went to the FA and asked to have my contract terminated because the club failed to meet the agreement we had before the deadline of January 4.
“I have a total of EGP 3million of late dues. If they wanted to solve the case they would have done that since a while. “I have kids and football is my only means for a living. If any club approached, I will accept their offer and sign. “I will issue a new passport in the next few days and I intend to fly to Turkey.“ Justice Moreover, Zaki slammed Zamalek officials for failing to provide his salary despite all his teammates being paid. “I am just asking for my rights. This doesn't make a traitor. How can they provide the unpaid wages for 28 players and exclude me?” he added. “We are calling for justice inside every entity in Egypt, so why isn't that applicable for clubs? “Do you think I am happy with the situation? Do you think I feel good when I'm watching Zamalek games from home? I am very sad and shocked with what's happening. “I think Zamalek have the best players, managers and board in Egypt, but we have been without a trophy for a long time and that's because there is no justice inside the club.”
