Although it was a disappointing night for Egypt against the mighty Brazil, the Pharaohs had captain Ahmed Hassan making a record 178th international cap in Doha. The 36-year-old Zamalek man came on for Hosni Abd-Rabou in the final quarter as Egypt lost 2-0 to Brazil at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium. Hassan, who almost scored with a bouncing shot from range, equaled the record of Mexico's Claudio Suarez and Saudi Arabia's Mohamed Al-Daeyea for most international caps. The midfield ace is now one match away from becoming the world's most capped footballer of all time, with Egypt's next friendly taking place in February 2012 against Brazil as well. During his glittering international career, Hassan helped Egypt win four Africa Cup of Nations titles in 1998, 2006, 2008 and 2010.
