Egypt goalkeeper Essam Al-Hadari is set to be granted his wish by leaving Merreikh after reaching an agreement with chairman Gamal Al-Wali, according to Sudanese reports. Goansport newspaper stated that Al-Wali is willing to allow the 38-year-old leave after next month's league game with Al-Amal Atbara as the latter cited ‘family reasons' behind his decision. Al-Hadari's intentions to quit Merreikh were revealed last month when he said he wants to leave the Khartoum club after the Cecafa Cup. He then upset his employers by flying back to Cairo to negotiate a move to MCDR, before returning to Sudan for a league game with Ahli Shandi this week. Should the Atbara game on August 16 be his last with Merreikh, Al-Hadari will only play two other games against Mawerda and Hay Al-Arab. In addition to MCDR, Al-Hadari has been reportedly linked with Zamalek, who appointed former Egypt coach Hassan Shehata last week.
