Essam Al-Hadari has returned to Merreikh because ‘he felt that his team need him' following the injury of deputy Mohamed Kamal, the Egypt number one said on his personal website. The keeper's decision comes right after Merreikh's warning that they will call FIFA in case he failed to show up in 48 hours. Al-Hadari flied back to Cairo without his club's consent last week to negotiate a move to MCDR, much to the disappointment of his current employers. Merreikh chairman Gamal Al-Wali said last week that the 38-year-old ‘crossed all the red lines by escaping from Sudan'. The Egypt keeper announced his intention to quit Merreikh after the Cecafa Cup that ended a few days ago. Al-Hadari was at the center of a similar case back in 2008, when he suddenly decided to rescind his contract with Ahli and join Swiss side Sion without the Cairo club's consent. He was eventually fined $900,000 by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), in addition to a four-month ban that ended last February. The veteran guardian, who is widely known as the ‘Fugitive Keeper' among Ahli fans, is expected to feature in Merreikh's clash with Ahli Shandi on Monday night.
