Fathi pens new Ahli deal
Published in FilGoal on 20 - 12 - 2010

Ahmed Fathi has signed a new three-year contract with Ahli to end speculation about his future, the club said on Monday.
Ahli's website said that Fathi agreed terms after a meeting with football director Sayed Abdul-Hafiz, who revealed that negotiations went smooth with the 26-year-old.
"Fathi is very disciplined both technically and morally," said the former Ahli and Egypt winger.
"He agreed on the new deal without specifying any conditions because he is aware of the crucial stage we are passing by."
Despite the pledge, Fathi has been promised that any reasonable offer from abroad will be carefully discussed by the club's football committee.
Fathi joined Ahli in 2007 from Sheffield United, following a short spell with the then-Premiership side.
He has been a key figure in Egypt's back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations triumphs in 2006.2008 and 2010.
