Manager Mokhtar Mokhtar announced he will leave Petrojet by the end of the Egyptian Cup this summer, following a 3-0 final-day defeat to Arab Contractors. Following the humiliating home defeat, Petrojet missed out on third place as Ismaili leapfrogged them to claim the Confederation Cup berth. "I can't help the team anymore. I will leave after the cup campaign," Mokhtar said after Monday's game in Suez. "For the first time, I can say that the players are fully responsible for the defeat. They let me down. I never thought about losing like that. "Anyways I thank the board, the fans and the players for their support during my reign with the club." Mokhtar, a former Ahli and Egypt star, has been in charge of Petrojet since 2005, helping the team finish in the top four during the past three seasons.
