Harras Hodoud tactician Tarek Al-Ashri is set to succeed Mohamed Amer as Arab Contractors boss, FilGoal.com understands. Back in December, Al-Ashri said that he would hand in his resignation, following his side's 3-2 home defeat to Military Production in the Egyptian Premier League. The former Egypt defender once backtracked on his decision after the military side's players and officials talked him out of departing. But eventually Al-Ashri opted to move away from Hodoud and now is close to taking charge of Contractors. The Mountain Wolves didn't solely approach the highly-rated coach as Petrojet were also interested in hiring him. Petrojet manager Mokhtar Mokhtar announced that he will leave the petroleum outfit after the ongoing Egyptian Cup. Contractors coach Mohamed Amer has nearly resigned as he wasn't offered a new contract by the club. On the other hand, Hodoud opened talks with their former coach Helmi Touland over possible reinstatement.
