Ismaili coach Nebojsa Vuckovic rued 'silly mistakes' after Egyptian Premier League newcomers Mansoura held his side to a 2-2 draw in the opening game of the season on Thursday. The Dervishes could have even suffered a stunning defeat as they trailed Mansoura by two goals in the interval, thanks to strikes from lively left-back Ahmed Al-Saei and striker Wael Mowafi. The visitors staged a second-half comeback to earn a draw via goals from Moatasem Salem and Ahmed Samir Farag but that was not enough to satisfy Vuckovic, who failed to enjoy a winning debut. "I warned my players against Mansoura's threat because the opposition is not familiar to us," the Serbian tactician told the post-match press conference. "But they still committed silly defensive mistakes that cost us tonight." Vuckovic singled out Ahmed Al-Gamal for criticism as the right-back was outpaced by Al-Saei on several occasions during the game. Al-Saei was the liveliest performer on the pitch, scoring and dishing out an assist. "I'm very happy with the draw because it came against one of the best teams in Egypt," he commented.
