Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty conveyed a message of solidarity and support from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Thursday following the "blatant Israeli aggression" against Doha, the foreign ministry said. During his visit to Doha, Abdel-Atty reaffirmed Egypt's "full and unwavering support" for Qatar's leadership, government and people, the foreign ministry added. He offered condolences for the victims of the attack and warned that targeting Qatar's security posed a direct threat to wider Arab collective security. The minister denounced the strike as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty, international law and the United Nations Charter. He added that the assault set a "dangerous precedent" for the region. Sheikh Tamim expressed gratitude to President El-Sisi for his outreach during the crisis and praised Egypt's stance as a reflection of the "depth of fraternal ties" between the two countries.
