Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdel-Atty voiced strong support for Qatar on Tuesday after what Cairo described as a "blatant Israeli attack" in the Qatari capital. Abdel-Atty condemned the strike during a phone call with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement. The Egyptian minister called the assault a "serious escalation" and a "flagrant violation of international law," offering condolences to the families of victims and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. He added that Qatar's stability was a cornerstone of Arab national security. The Qatari leader thanked Egypt for its support, noting the "deep fraternal ties" between the two countries.
