Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has sent a telegram expressing his condolences to the victims of the terror attacks at St George's Coptic church in Tanta and St Mark's Coptic church in Alexandria on Sunday. Addressed to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the telegram conveys the emir's condemnation to the "criminal attacks", expressing his wish for a speedy recovery for all those injured, according to the official Qatari news agency. Tamim stressed his country's firm position rejecting violence and terrorism in all its forms. The Islamic State terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the two blasts that killed at least 44 people and injured others on the Palm Sunday.
