Ismaili board member Sayed Sedik said the Dervishes are yet to complete the signing of Argentine duo Fernando Marquez and German Weiner. The coastal side announced a couple of days ago that both players had put pen to paper, but it turned out that the deal is still in the balance. "We have reached an agreement with them, and they have penned pre-contracts," Sedik explained to FilGoal.com. "But we are yet to decide whether to complete the deal or not. "These pre-contracts are just to make sure they won't sign for any other clubs during their trial period." Conversely, Ismaili chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan stated that the pair had signed three-year contracts for undisclosed fees. "They (Marquez and Weiner) will stay with us on a trial basis till the coaching staff fully assess them," Sedik added. Ismaili are seeking to sign 25-year-old Weiner and Marquez, 21, to fill the void left by the departure of strike duo Mohamed Fadl and Nasigba John-Jumbo. Both players will be the first newcomers to arrive at Ismaili in the close season should the deal go through. Ismaili are also expected to name their new head coach in the coming few days, with Dutchman Mark Wotte the frontrunner to occupy the managerial seat.
