ISMAILIYA: Ismaili board member Al-Sayed Sedik accused some Egyptian clubs of distracting his side by making astronomical bids for some of the Dervishes players. He, however, didn't name any of these clubs. The coastal club are at the top of the Egyptian Premier League table with 57, three ahead of closest rivals Ahly, who have one more game in hand. At this critical stage of the competition, several top-flight outfits are allegedly seeking to acquire the services of some Ismaili players, which Sedik described as "an attempt to make the team lose concentration . A host of Egyptian clubs started unofficial talks with some of our players, and offered them enticing deals, the Ismaili official told FilGoal.com. It s quite obvious that these clubs are seeking to make our players nervous and incapable of clinching the league title. Sedik backed his point of view by referring that almost none of the targeted players contracts run out by the end of the season. We have no intention of offloading any of our players in these days, he elaborated. On top of that, the majority of the first team footballers still have at least one more year on their contracts. Mohamed Fadl is the only player whose contract will expire by the end of this term. The 29-year-old striker is yet to reach an agreement with Ismaili over an extension.
