Egyptian Premier League runners-up Ismaili have signed Argentinean duo Fernando Marquez and German Weiner, the club announced on Sunday. Striker Marquez and talented attacking midfielder Weiner, who left Argentinean second-division side Union de Santa Fe, penned three-year deals with the Dervishes. "We believe Marquez and Weiner will be good additions to our squad," Ismaili chairman Nasr Aboul-Hassan told FilGoal.com. Ismaili landed the 25-year-old Weiner and Marquez, 21, to fill the void left by the departure of strike duo Mohamed Fadl and Nasigba John-Jumbo. Fadl joined Ismaili's fierce rivals Ahli following the expiry of his contract while Nigerian John-Jumbo was not included in the club's preliminary squad for next season. Weiner and Marquez are the coastal club's first signings in the close season. Ismaili, who lost last season's league title to Ahli, are also expected to name their new coach in the coming few days, with Dutchman Mark Wotte a frontrunner to occupy the managerial seat.
