Ismaili have signed youngster Farid Dowidar from first-division side A-Gomhuria, the coastal club announced on Wednesday. "Dowidar has penned a five-year contract with Ismaili," the Egyptian League runners-up said in a statement on their official website. Dowidar is expected to fill in for veteran full back Sayed Moawad, who joined Turkish side Trabzonspor before eventually moving to Ismaili rivals Ahli. The 18-year-old left back became Ismaili's fourth signing in the close season. Ismaili have previously signed Egypt defender Ibrahim Saied, Mohamed Eid and Mohab Saied. The Dervishes are strengthening their squad as they will participate in the CAF Champions League next season.
