Hassan Shehata insisted that Gamal Hamza and Mohamed Barakat will not be recalled to the national team as long as he is in charge. Criticism In the same manner, Shehata closed the door on Ahli winger Barakat, as he accused the latter of criticizing him repeatedly in public. "Barakat has persistently criticized me in public, how can a manager recall a player who attacks him, even if he was the best," he added. Barakat was a key member of Egypt's 2006 African Cup of Nations triumph, but the versatile midfielder pulled out of CAN 2008 due to injury. However, the 30-year-old was not called up after that, despite regaining form and fitness with Ahli.
