Masri manager Hossam Hassan has launched a scathing attack on Egyptian referees following his side's 2-2 draw with ENPPI in the league finale on Thursday. "The unfairness of the referee was very clear during our match against ENPPI. Refereeing has been very poor throughout the season," Hassan told Modern Sport. "There is good football in Europe because referees are good while the official's performances here tarnish the image of Egyptian football." Former Egypt striker Hassan, who is yet to announce his retirement from professional football, protested almost every single decision from the referee during ENPPI game. Despite helping Masri overcome a troubled period to guarantee their top-flight safety following a fine run of results, Hassan is often criticized for his fiery temper. ENPPI football director Alaa Abdul-Sadeq was furious with Hassan's conduct during the match. "Not only Hassan vigorously attacked the referee, but he also aimed insults at ENPPI's technical staff." "We will file a complaint to the Egyptian FA over the matter because Hassan's action was completely inappropriate," he added.
