ENPPI said on Friday the Egyptian FA should replay their league game against Ahli because the referee 'was biased against them'. Egyptian Premier League leaders Ahli claimed a controversial 2-1 victory over ENPPI on Thursday to go six points clear of second-placed Zamalek with a game in hand. ENPPI were infuriated after having two goals disallowed for offside either side of the interval. Television replays showed that the assistant referees were mistaken when they raised their flag on both occasions. The petroleum club, who lie 11th in the league table, believe they unfairly lost the game. "The referee was clearly biased against us," ENPPI chairman Maged Nagati said in a statement on the club's official website. "We should have won because we scored two valid goals that were ruled out, but everyone is working to gift Ahli the title because of their huge popularity in the country. "We will do our best to gain the club's rights. The only solution would be replaying the game, but I don't think that will happen. "Many clubs suffered from biased refereeing this season and were not compensated at the end." Egyptian referees have been severely criticized this season after a number of controversial decisions in high-profile matches. The likes of Ahli, Gouna and Mansoura said they wanted the Egyptian FA to bring in foreign referees to officiate their league matches.
