Al-Gaish restored the Egyptian League summit on Saturday after beating Tersana 2-1 in an ill-tempered encounter. The military club now have 19 points from seven games, two ahead of title holders Ahli. Tersana are tenth with seven points. Sameh Adrous headed Al-Gaish in front in the 18th minute after connecting with a fine cross at the far post before Ahmed Salama equalized through a powerful drive from inside the area. Waleed Aslan towered to a Hassan Awad cross just before the break to head home, securing the three points for Al-Gaish. Ahmed Abou-Mostafa from Al-Gaish and Tersana's Heidar Abou-Bakr received their marching orders in the second period due to unsporting behavior.
