Al-E'lameyin player is blackmailing me, says Mido
Published in FilGoal on 12 - 04 - 2007

Egypt international striker Ahmed Hossam ‘Mido' revealed that he is blackmailed by Mostafa Abdul-Rahim, Al-E'lameyin player, and that he's not going to pay him any more money.
"I paid all the expenses of the surgery and the rehabilitation which coast me 20 thousands pounds. He's now completely healed and I don't know what to do more," Mido told FilGoal.com in a phone call.
"If he says the operation wasn't successful he should get back to Doctor Ahmed Magued because he's the one who operated him not me.
"I was surprised when he asked me to pay him the expenses of a plastic surgery in his leg. I completely refused his demand because if I am injured nobody will give me money to make a plastic surgery in my leg. All the players still have marks in their legs and I'm not going to pay him for that."
The Tottenham striker launched a big surprise.
"Abdul-Rahim was totally healed. He even got back to trainings with his team but then told everyone that he can't continue so he can sue me and get a big sum of money."
"I won't pay any more money. I paid all the expenses and I offered him a job but he declined it. Right now I am blackmailed and I won't accept that and I am ready to defend myself in court because I believe I am not guilty at all."
"It was my fault since the beginning. I shouldn't have paid him. He was injured in a friendly match and his under the insurance of his club and the Egyptian Federation. It's not my responsibility."
And finally Mido criticized the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) board.
"The National team shouldn't play against a third division team. We have a much higher level of physical condition and fitness."
"I am not denying I was rough because I was playing with a lot of enthusiasm to impress the coach but if I make this tackle in Europe or against an African player he may feel some pain but then resume the game."
The case is open since May 2004 as Mido damaged the knee of Mostafa Abdul-Rahim in a friendly before the Sudan encounter in the World Cup qualifiers.
