Lokomotiv Moscow eyeing Abou-Treika, Ahli set 5m euro price tag

Russian giants Lokomotiv Moscow have opened negotiations with Egyptian champions Ahli to acquire the services of playmaker Mohamed Abou-Treika.
A representative from the Russian club met with Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qayei on Saturday to discuss a move for the Egypt international during the winter transfer window.
“I asked the Russian club's representative to present an official offer for the services to the player,” Al-Qayei told Filgoal.com.
Ahli have put a 5 million euro price tag on Abou-Treika, a sum described as “exaggerated” by the Lokomotiv official.

Abou-Treika was exemplary with both Ahli and Egypt
Al-Qayei hinted that Ahli could agree to a 2 million euro fee, especially that Lokomotiv are looking to sign the 28-year-old ahead of the African Cup of Nations.
Abou-Treika stated his desire in completing the move and voiced his hopes that Ahli can reach an agreement with the Russian side.
“I'm hopeful Ahli will agree to this move that will benefit me both financially and technically, especially that I spent to successful seasons with the club during which we won both local and continental titles” Abou-Treika told Filgoal.com.
“Lokomotiv's offer is serious and they want to complete it as soon as possible,” he added.
Ahli's board is set to make a decision regarding the offer following the return of club president Hassan Hamdi and vice-president Mahmoud Al-Khatib to Cairo.
