Lokomotiv Moscow have renewed their interest in midfielder Mohamed Abou-Treika despite the high price tag put on the Egypt international. The Russian side is desperate to acquire the services of Abou-Treika during the winter transfer window and will send a representative to Cairo on Saturday. “The Russian representative will arrive on Saturday with a view of several options to complete Abou-Treika's move,” an Ahli source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Filgoal.com on Wednesday. Lokomotiv have already made an initial bid for Abou-Treika last week when a club representative met with Ahli marketing director Adli Al-Qayei, who made it clear Ahli were not prepared to let go of the player for less than 5 million euros.
Sayed Abdul-Hafiz Despite Ahli's demands, insider reports claimed the Egyptian champions, who previously said they will not let go of any player in the upcoming period, seem ready to sell Abou-Treika if the Russian offer reaches 2.5 million euros, which is half their asking price. Meanwhile, Ahli sent the transfer license for winger Ahmed Abou-Mosallam to French side Racing Strasbourg via the Egyptian Football Association. Abou-Mosallam is set to join Strasbourg late next week after settling some personal issues in Cairo. Midfielder Sayed Abdul-Hafiz is also set to travel to Saudi Arabia on Friday to join Al-Wehda club on a six-month loan.
