Former Egypt guardian Essam Al-Hadari has joined Wadi Degla on a free transfer, the Cairo side confirmed. Al-Hadari, 40, was unveiled at a press conference on Monday, joining on a six-month deal from Sudan's Merreikh. The veteran keeper, who announced his retirement from international football this year, is set to join his fifth Egyptian league club. After they had surprisingly made it to the Egypt Cup final this season, Degla will participate in the African Confederation Cup for the first time in their history next year. Degla are managed by ex-Egypt defender Hany Ramzy and owned by renowned businessman Maged Sami, who is also the chairman of Lierse.
