Hull City manager Steve Bruce is happy that his new recruit Geddo has returned to first-team football following more than five months on the sidelines. The Egypt forward featured for 22 minutes as a second-string Hull edged Huddersfield into the League Cup fourth round with a Nick Proschwitz goal. "The good things were that Geddo got a run out and Stephen Quinn got another hour under his belt after being out for a long time," coach Bruce said after the win. Geddo is still far from fit after his lengthy layoff as Hull take on West Ham in the Premier League at the weekend. The 28-year-old was named in Egypt's squad for the World Cup qualifying playoff against Ghana next month, along with club mate Ahmed Elmohamady.
