Liam Rosenior has warned Hull City teammate Ahmed Elmohamady that he might be facing some competition for his place on the right side of Steve Bruce's selection. Manager Bruce has been deploying a 3-5-2 system in pre-season as it seems he will rely on the Egypt wing-back to fill in the right flank on his own. While Rosenior prefers to play in a back-four formation, the former England U-21 defender says he will work hard to push for Elmohamady's spot. "We look like we're going to start with three at the back and I'll be pushing for Elmo's shirt," Rosenior told Hull Daily Mail. "He obviously had a great season last year but I want it. If we move to a four-man defense then I'll be ready then too." Elmohamady was named Hull Player of the Season last term, which earned him a permanent deal with the newly-promoted Premier League side. The Tigers begin their new campaign with a tough fixture against Europa League champions Chelsea away in mid-August.
